Branding: YouTube Gets a New Logo

You may have noticed the YouTube logo change on your mobile device recently, but now Google is rolling out a new logo and branding overhaul for YouTube across multiple platforms– with the dramatic logo change now visible on Facebook and Twitter. The new logo replaces the plush and plump looking old logo with a modernized and extremely simplistic new one. However, YouTube hasn’t yet replaced the logo on the actual YouTube website yet. What do you think of the new YouTube logo?

It is a simplified LOGO. Personally, I like being trimmed. Imagine if I am bulky in size, it will definitely become a challenge for me to compete in a race but if I am smart and agile, that will be another story to tell for another day. I love the smartness of the new youtube logo and it also replicate in their actions all these years to become the smart leader in web-media and web videos.

I love it. Flat design will look great on iOS 7, and I like the fact that they can use the “tube” graphic itself (w/out the YouTube name) as a simple identifier where needed.
