If you are a domain investor, inbound leads can be one of the best ways to find people and businesses interested in purchasing the domains you have for sale. Rather than just listing your domains on Sedo or Afternic and hoping for the best, creating “Domain for sale” pages associated with the domain you’re trying to sell is a good way to let people know that they’re available for purchase.

These are the two easiest ways to create a Domain for sale page.

Prologue one-page websites

Prologue is a Name.com tool that allows you to build one-page websites within a matter of minutes. Choose between two professional looking templates, and customize the page with your color scheme, information, and photos. Prologue is perfect for the beginner domain investor because it’s a simple and cost-effective way to set up a Domain for sale page without having to dedicate a lot of time or energy.

Hosting

If you have multiple domains for sale, creating individual landing pages for each domain might sound like more trouble than it is worth. A simple solution is signing up for one of our hosting plans and changing the default index page to a generic message stating that the domain is for sale and the best way you can be reached. Domain investors selling less than 25 domains can use the Namebuilder level plan, while those with more can take advantage of the Unbelievable plan.

To learn how you can create a custom index.html file to replace Name.com’s default index page once you’ve purchased hosting, following this Knowledge Base tutorial.

If you have a valuable domain name, people may be attempting to navigate it without you realizing it. Make sure the people who land on your page understand its value so that you can sell your most valuable domains to prospective end users.
