Last year during #PDXStartupWeek we walked many miles around Portland giving out domain names and learning from the best minds in tech. We slept very little and loved every moment of it. Eating was very nearly optional as you could practically dine on the enthusiasm. This year we’ll be back in the Willamette Valley with similar intentions. BUT THIS TIME WE’RE BUYING BEER. It’s not all about that, of course, so here’s the break down on all of the benefits we hope to bring to Portland Startup Week:
Hack the Dot – Thursday, Feb. 4 from 6-9 p.m. we’re converging on DeskHub for another domain hacking session. Haven’t been? Well it’s pretty basic. Sign up here for two hours of pizza, age-appropriate beverages, and a competition to turn one domain name into the project of your dreams. Even those weirder dreams you don’t talk about so much. Here’s an example of a Hack the Dot we did in Portland last November.
Beer and Blog – Portland tech obsessive Rick Turoczy has invited us to Beer and Blog on Friday, Feb. 5 from 4-6 p.m. In exchange, Name.com is going to buy as many beers as possible. It could be the happiest hours ever.
Also, look for these people at #PDXStartupWeek events. They’ll have free domain names, Bearglecorn stickers, and other important Name.com swag.
