We’re headed back to this year’s Portland Startup Week, which will be taking place Feb. 6-10. If you’re a Portland native or plan to attend the week of events, we’d love for you to say hello while we’re in town. Here’s where you’ll be able to find us throughout the week.
Hack the Dot
Wednesday, Feb. 8, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.—Vacasa Rentals office
We’re proud to bring Hack the Dot back to Portland for another great evening of pizza, beer, and coding. Hack the Dot is a rapidfire hackathon event that encourages participants to get creative and get funny as they create unique projects based on a domain name. Whether you’re a developer, marketer, or you’re just curious, we’d love for you to join us at this one-of-a-kind event. Sign up for free here.
Where’s the Bear?
Thursday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.—Downtown Portland
Don’t be surprised if you see a group of Waldo-like figures traipsing around the city next Thursday. The social media savvy of Portland will have a chance to win some cool Name.com swag simply by tracking us down.
Here’s out it works: Find us in our Waldo gear, snap a photo, and tweet it to @namedotcom with the hashtag #wheresthebear. We’ll be giving away some cool swag including these limited edition Bearglecorn stickers.
Beer & Blog
Friday, Feb. 10, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.—Loyal Legion
Drinks are on us during this year’s Beer & Blog event. Bloggers, entrepreneurs, and startup owners are welcome to join us for this fun evening of networking and making new friends. We’ll be there until our tab runs out, so stop by to say hello.
Throughout the week
What is MOTSCRAK, you may ask? It’s Man on the Street Committing Random Acts of Kindness and it’s one of our favorite things to do whenever we visit a new city. Whether it’s buying you a coffee, carrying your bags, or even giving you a foot massage, we’re ready to help you out with whatever will make your day a little happier. Check out this video of last year’s MOTSCRAK in Portland.
