We listen to the dulcet tones of Rick Astley every Monday

Every Monday, right at 10 a.m., the extended version of Rick Astley’s 1987 hit, “Never Gonna Give You Up” starts blaring from the office speakers as we check our morning emails and finish our cups of coffee. This tradition makes certain people (Angela Daniels) very happy and other people (Ashley Forker) want to rip their hair out.

We guess how many registrations we’ll get during Bottoms Rupp sales

As our customers prepare to take advantage of amazing sales during our weekly Bottoms Rupp sales, the Name crew takes guesses from employees on how many domain registrations will happen during the sale. If it’s a sale that has a cap on the number of domains can be registered, we take bets on how quickly the domains will sell out. The person with the closest guess wins bragging rights until the next sale takes place.

We have a fleet of office scooters

They’re used for transportation around the office when you’re feeling too lazy to walk, serve as a nice little break if you’re feeling antsy at your desk, and are occasionally used as makeshift dollies when we need to move heavy things.

There’s an old vault in our basement that’s used to store bikes

We have a several employees who bike to work, so there’s an old vault in the basement of our building that has been converted into bike storage. However, it’s totally creepy so most people store their bikes in the hall instead.

At the end of a long week, we have Beer Fridays

At the end of every Friday we like to kick up our feet, pour ourselves a beer from the office kegerator, pop some popcorn, and hang out on our office balcony. Sometimes there are even overly-competitive games of Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros.

As the old saying goes, work hard, play hard. Hope you all have a great week!
