Name.com developed its own escrow service to ensure the complete security and anonymity of domain name transactions.

How the Buyer is protected:
Name.com initiates, tracks, and completes the domain name transfer before releasing payment to the Seller. As an ICANN accredited registrar, Name.com is uniquely able to monitor such transactions, and has an obligation to ensure their proper completion.

How Name.com escrow service works

1. Name.com, on Buyer's behalf, and the Seller agree to terms of the domain name transfer.
2. The Buyer submits payment through our secure web interface. Name.com verifies the payment.
3. Upon verification, the Seller is authorized to release the purchased domain name. Name.com supervises the transfer to completion.
4. Name.com pays the Seller. The transaction is complete.

Q: What forms of payment are acceptable?
A: We accept credit / debit cards (VISA, Mastercard and American Express), PayPal transfers, or wire transfers. Credit / Debit and PayPal payments are encrypted via SSL protocol to protect your sensitive information. (Please note: wire transfers usually take longer than credit / debit card or PayPal transactions to process.) Name.com LLC reserves the right to refuse a payment and cancel a transaction.

Q: How do I make a wire transfer?
A: Wire transfers can be submitted with the help of your banking institution. Provide your bank with the information below to properly transfer your payment:
