Enable Google API & reseller access

Last Updated: Mar 12, 2019

In the event, you are attempting to renew, or view details, for your G suite account and you are receiving an error that states "uh Oh something went wrong" then it may appear that the API and reseller access is disabled.

Also please be aware that changing the domain in G suite will also disable the API Access.

There are two places to enable this. One for the API and one for the Reseller. In order to enable it, please see the instructions below:

Enable API access

To verify that API access is enabled:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. From the Admin console dashboard, go to Securityand thenAPI reference.
To see Security on the dashboard, you might have to click More controls at the bottom.

  3. Make sure the Enable API access box is checked.
  4. At the bottom, click Save.

Enable Reseller access

If you are still seeing the error message after enabling the API access you also need to enable Reseller access.

To verify that Reseller access is enabled:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).
  2. Click Company Profile > Profile
  3. Uncheck the Reseller Access box.
  4. Click Save changes.

This will allow us - name.com - to manage your account for renewal and more.
