Yeah that’s right, NUMBER ONE BEST REGISTRAR IN THE UNIVERSE. Just ask our customers.

As many of you know name.com was recently voted second best domain name registrar in a poll by lifehacker.com. We were feeling really good about our organic second place and had fun kicking around other great #2s and splicing together a fun video themed around how first is the worse and second is the best. We giggled the best domain name registrar picture

and pushed everything live and then this email rolled in:

Hi There,

It hurts me to see that Name.Com is #2 in domain Registrar, I always believed Name.Com is #1, I don’t know if anyone else is objecting to this but you guys are best for me as I hold over 50+ domains with you. I would love to see the little modification in that announcement of you being #1. You guys can maybe say #2 by lifehackers and #1 by our User etc which will not hurt my feelings as its hurting to see Name.Com on #2 position.

I hope you guys can understand my feelings toward Name.Com.
