Searching for Premium Domains
Last Updated: January 01, 2026
If your ideal domain name is already taken, it may still be available for purchase as a Premium Domain. These are high-value names being offered for resale by their current owners. Because these names are highly sought after, they often carry a higher initial price tag but can significantly boost your brand's authority.
How to search for premium domains
Navigate to the name.com Premium Domains page.
Ensure the Premium Domains tab is selected above the search bar.
Enter relevant keywords or the specific domain you are interested in and click Search.
If the results are too broad, click Advanced Search Options to filter by price range, character length, or specific TLDs.
Completing your purchase
Locate the domain you want. The Purchase Price will be displayed next to the Add to Cart button.
Review the Renewal Price listed directly below the purchase price. This is the amount you will pay annually in future years to keep the domain.
Click Add to Cart.
Click the Shopping Cart icon in the upper right.
Follow the checkout instructions to complete the order.
Important things to know
Pricing and Negotiation: name.com acts as a reseller for these domains. Because we do not own the names ourselves, we are unable to negotiate the price or offer discounts on the owner's behalf.
Renewal Rates: In most cases, after the initial premium purchase, the domain will renew at a much lower, standard rate. Always verify the renewal cost during the checkout process.
Instant Availability: Most premium domains listed on name.com are available for immediate transfer to your account once the payment is processed.
