For a company to truly have soul, we believe it must have pets. It might be a goldfish, or maybe a volleyball with a face on it, but you’ve gotta have something that keeps it real and reminds that all is not copy machines and computers. At Name.com we’ve decided to usher in the era of cats and dogs. Before we proceed, here’s an important message from  Dr. Peter Venkman:

With those concerns in mind (but with realizing that we humans can’t even get along amongst our own species) we have leapt forward with our Name.com Pet Page.

Not sure what’s up with that cat. But I see a caption contest in the near future.

Yes, cats and dogs will roam these halls, but there will be a calendar in place to limit any bloody conflict. And as most cat owners know, it’s often the dog that gets the worst of it.

If the Facebook likes on the adjacent picture teach us anything, it’s that people like and people love dogs and cats in the workplaceeven “like” animals, so you’ll be sure to see videos of cute dogs and cats around the office, and maybe even helping with web development. Also, we will be having a “match the pet to its owner” contest. We’ll keep you updated on your chance to win. In the meantime, our pups and kitties send along their unconditional love, if not a hair floaty or two.

And this might be an opportune time to mention that even your dog or cat could have his or her own domain and website.
