Web Summit: It’s a place where CEOs, startups, leaders, and innovators come together to network, drink beer, and discuss all things technology.
We headed to Dublin last week for this renowned event and had a blast interacting with attendees from all walks of life. But where there is work, there must be play, and there was certainly plenty of both. While it’s impossible to sum up the entirety of our trip in a single post, there were a few highlights of our Web Summit experience.
We helped people find the best place for a pint of beer with dublin.pub
We teamed up with BaseKit and Tapastreet to create an online guide for the best places to grab a pint in Dublin for Web Summit attendees. With dublin.pub, visitors could track down bars, pubs, and nightlife within walking distance of their location in Dublin.
Then, drinks were on us at our takeover of Crowes Pub for a night

This is a pretty accurate representation of what went down.
We hosted our first international Hack the Dot event
Using the domain dolphin.army as inspiration, this group of super talented hackers created fantastic Hack the Dot projects in just a two hour time span. Programmers, marketers, and business-minded individuals came together to see just what they could create with a little innovation.
Oh, and we also got to meet some seriously cool people who are doing some seriously cool things
From bike technology to gaming platforms to a feature-length film shot in just 48 hours, Web Summit attendees are doing amazing things. And a number of them already use New Domains to help them accomplish their business goals or are considering using them in the future.
When you combine innovation with technology (and lots of beer) you’re sure to accomplish some pretty fantastic things.
