We’re extremely excited to announce that Name.com has partnered with Galvanize to bring coding education to aspiring developers across the U.S.! We’re hosting Learn to Code workshops in six different cities every month to help those who are interested in web development learn the skills they need for a successful career.

As a part of the tech community, we’re always trying to come up with new ways to connect with coding students and those who are considering entering the field. Learn to Code is a great way to test the waters of web development and decide if it is a career you are interested in pursuing. Classes are hosted several times a month in a number of cities, including Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, San Francisco, and Seattle. Classes will also kick off in Austin later this year.

These events are free, open to the community, and can be a great way to hone your developer skills in a safe, no-stress environment. Workshops are taught by skilled individuals with years of experience in web development, and the subject matter will vary during each session. Past courses have included Intro to Git and GitHub, Intro to Angular JS, Intro to Javascript, and more.

Why should you attend a Learn to Code event?

If you’re a coding student who wants to brush up your skills, or if you’re considering becoming a developer and want a taste of the experience, you should definitely check out a Learn to Code workshop. Just bring your laptop, yourself, and a willingness to learn. As a thank you, we’ll set you up with a free domain name that you can use how ever you want.
